UAE no longer offers unlimited contracts:

As of February 2, 2023, UAE's labour law will no longer allow unlimited contracts, and will only allow limited contracts of up to three years. In accordance with the agreement of both parties, the contracts will be renewed several times. Employees who choose to terminate an unlimited contract will also receive the same end-of-service gratuity regardless of which sector they work in. This unifies entitlements across all sectors.
